    Type S headlights

    Hi All,

I noticed that the plastic on my headlights is dotty. I cant tell if there is something on it or a result of heat. Has anyone had an issue like this?? What can i use to try and remove the dots? Guess it will help if i understand better what it is. If it is a result of heat will warranty fix this?

    Regards
    Justin

If it's on the outside try Mothers Plastic Polish. It works wonders. It got ride of all the yellowy grime on my headlights that you often see on s15s - of course, it only works if i's on the outside.

Other brands have similar products, but I've only used Mothers.

Also, if it is on the inside then it could be a warrenty issue - provided you haven't tampered with the headlights.

I have noticed the same thing on my TypeS headlights, but I didn't really think much of it, cuz I just thought that's the way the headlights were made in the plastic moulding/casting process.

Thanks Bizzy - Where can you buy this 'Mothers' product?

TOFU - If you run your nail on the plastic can you feel the dots?

Or you could use braso, it's great for polishing all kinds of plastics. I also use it to buff out scratches in DVD's! works a treat.
            Just along for the ride

                Exactly.

As I said, there are other brands, but I've only used Mothers Plastic Polish, so it's the only one I'm willing to recommend.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
