Honda CR-Z axed from Australian Market

After less than four years on sale in Australia, Honda has pulled the CR-Z hybrid hot hatch out of its showrooms.

Sales of the CR-Z have been lacklustre, to say the least. In 2014 just 86 of them found buyers while only 58 were sold in 2013.

Its first full year on sale was its best, with 370 sold in 2012. Unfortunately, the CR-Z wasn't able to sustain that momentum.

IMO, cool car, too expensive and needed a bit more power.

When i thought of honda. I thought of budget price high revving sport cars. There isnone of that in modern honda

When I first saw it, I thought it looked really cool and modern. Then looked at price and spec and was like... nvm... It's like a Jazz but double the price tag.

Honda need to realise that people aren't prepared to pay a premium for there underspeced/underpowered cars any more, unfortunately the crz is another casualty

It's a shame I really like the CRZ and always believed it was a great push forward in the hybrid spectrum.

It's gunna be a good used buy. A few less than half price after 2 years on carsales.

Poor owners though....
