Help Please - what should a stock DC2R sound like?

Hi guys,

thanks and sorry in advanced for this weird question.

So i'm in the market for a dc2R - and just test drove a completely stock one. It however was a lot louder than i expected - more a droney and lower pitched noise.
also, the vtec crossover wasn't as apparant as a lot of other dc2r's i've driven. Does it need at least a pod filter/air intake for the noise to happen?

This is however the first one i've driven without air intake/exhaust/headers/any of the above but still it didn't sound very stock to me.

does this sound normal?

A completely stock DC2R shouldn't be droney or lower pitched. On idle it should be quiet like a normal car with no exhaust, definately not droney. Vtec crossover wouldn't be that loud due to no aftermarket intake so thats normal.

Its hard to exactly say how loud it is unless you have a sound clip of it as everyone's perception of volume is different.
