    DC2 Sump

    Hey everyone,

My 2000 Honda Integra Type R has a leak from the sump bolt, I checked all around the sump, the only part that has a concentration of oil is the bolt, everywhere else is clean and dry. I tried changing a sump bolt but it still leaks. I was thinking about buying a new oil pan all up.

What do you guys reckon? Is there another way I could try to fix this?

    New oil pan?

If so, where should I start looking?? (I have tried JDMYard)

    Thank you.

Might sound a but stupid but did you change the crush washer?

Crush washer or the thread is... threaded. Do not over-tighten the bolt to resolve it as you will definitely thread it.

Go to your local and buy a new crush washer. I replace them every oil change for peace of mind but like everything I do, that's overkill. Definitely change it every 6-8 oil changes.

If it still leaks, buy some teflon tape, wrap it around the bolt thread (maybe 2 times) and see if that solves it. Don't wrap the tip of the bolt - you don't want the tape in your sump
