    iPod hookup in Type S

    Hi All,

Well i picked up my Type S today so im back to Honda. Just want to know if anyone has an iPod and how they hooked it up. I almost broke my fingers trying to get the head unit panel out only to realise that their is no rear (dual) auxilary inputs. There is only the single input on the front of the head unit. How has anyone else done this? I already have a Belkin FM dock although want better clarity. Suggestions?

    Regards
    Justin

          yeah dude. Tnks

Felt quite displaced in the GTT. I need practicality - i drive to work everyday (400kms+). On top i wanted something with luxury and a bit of speed so the Type S in my mind was the best option.

So you mentioned there is a AUX input on the front of the headunit?? If so then why don't you just plug your ipod into that instead of using the Belkin FM transmitter?!?!

you can use the AUX input on the unit , just get the male to male 1/8 jack cable(stereo) then plug one end the headunit and the other to you IPOD off you go.

^oh haha that makes more sense

btw, i took my stock unit out the other day on my type S in hope that there was rca outlets. To my disappointment there were none. Is my only other option to get a aftermarket HU, all i'm after is a bit more bass.

opps, sorry to jack your thread!

apologies yes. 400+ a week. Thats including weekends. I just like driving and one way to work is approx 35kms.

The Type S deck is nice. WHY o WHY did they not put AUX input in the rear or RCA outs.

BTW - Since the front of the HU has a single input for AUX do you think it will affect the stereo sound?

I just plug the ipod straight into the AUX and it sounds great
The Type-S HU is nice considering its stock (u can even change the display ...i wouldnt change it.

what's wrong with using the aux input at the front?
                            it works perfect.

havent tried it yet. I just was under the impression that since it is only a single jack that it will be mono or close to it, not stereo sound.
