Judging from the VIN (JHMDC2310YS200625) number, the plaque should read: 00-0625.
This is not correct.... There is no certain way of knowing what your plaque number is. My plaque number is one number off the last 3 digits of my ENGINE number, not the VIN.

I called the guy yesterday morning on the work land line phone because I was very keen on the car to the extent I was going to buy without inspection. I have the money and I'm ready to go.
I told him yesterday to sms me the Vin and Engine numbers when he gets home. I never got the details because I guess he was relying on killrq to buy the car.
This morning I find the ad is gone. To which I was a little dissapointed.
Later on today he called me from a private number saying the previous intended buyer has pulled out and if I want it to contact him or come see it and leave a deposit, I was busy with work at the time so I said I would call him back and I didn't get to talk much.
I hung up and straight away I realised his ad is gone and I don't have his contact number anymore.
So yeah, I'm after his contact number because I'm still keen on the Type R and I think mofo just expressed himself wrong, please don't flame him.
Well he also said there is another keen buyer coming to see it tonight and I'd have to come before him. I would go there NOW but I don't have his number or address.
Hopefully he calls me soon.
I tried the cache thing but I'm not that good with computers.
I even called carsales this morning (they wouldn't give me his number of course through privacy etc). They said they'll call him to get him to either authorize them to give me his number or get him to call me. No word and they probably aren't doing it.
I think it was covered a while ago that the last 3 digits on the VIN is one digit off from the number on the plate under the handbrake e.g. last 3 digits on VIN is 900, then the number on the plate should be 899.
However this is not a fact. Just that a lot of people 'coincidentally' has it like that. I think it was spoken about in CRSX forums ages ago. I know that mine is like that anyway, and whoever else mentioned it in this thread too.

See my above post... it's not at all close to the VIN, it's one off the ENGINE number...
