Honda ecu isn't reflashable. You need to chip it, or replace it!

Around our area. Just call some mechanics and places that specialize in Honda, They'll let you no. Eg. BYP, JDM yard, Top One.

Not a big point tuning a car stock.
After a full exhaust, intake. Good power increase will be seen after tune on 98 octane.

Best ECU for a DC5R is a Hondata KPRO. Plug and Play with a few tuners in Sydney that can tune it.

I've PM you with info and pricing.

I wouldnt bother tuning a stock car. The price of the chip and tune would be wasted. Like karl said at least have intake and exhaust done and
                Run 98 octane.

A tune can cost up to 600 bucks (if you are trying to take your time) sometimes more.

Think about it. If you tune it stock and then put intake and exhaust on it you will need a retune

I got my DC5 tuned at toda australia by Adrian but I dont think he works there anymore
If he does hit him up its worth the drive.

So thats a few hundred down the drain when it could pay for mods
Just going for a drive ~146.4kw~

There are noticable gains to be had with an ECU tune even on a stock car. This is taken from Hondata: http://www.hondata.com/reflash_rsx.html

                  • 12-20 peak wheel hp from a stock RSX depending on the dyno and modifications.
                  • 15-20 ft/lb torque increase between 2500-3500 rpm.
                  • Peak torque now at 3200 rpm on an unmodified RSX.
                  • Very flat smooth torque curve. 95% of peak torque available from 2500-8000 rpm.
                  • Rev limiter optionally raised to 8600 RPM (see valve spring tech information).
                  • VTEC point lowered to 5200 rpm for cars with intake systems.
                  • Passes Californian smog testing (no measurable difference from stock).
                  • Fully dealer compatible - works with all Honda scan tools and equipment.

If you're not looking to modify the car but want the best performance from it, an ECU tune will deliver the best bang for buck mod-wise. However if you start modifying the car, the tune may need to be modified which then may start to rack up a large tuning bill. On the other hand, if you learn to tune the ECU yourself, you can adjust the tune as much as you like until you're happy with the outcome.

Have anyone here tuned a Type S before? I heard you will have to purchase a Type R ecu for KPRO?
