From 1 January 2013, registration stickers will no longer be required for light vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM).

Epic. I wonder if Vic with have this sometime soon. Every time i get pulled over, cops stare at my rego sticker as if i printed it at home!

Just be careful crossing the border into Mexico. Our SA brethren that do interstate runs with no rego stickers are being pulled over and fined by the Vic constabulary.

The only positive thing from this is that NSW can never be the nanny state while Victoria is on our border

For those that are worried about remembering when your rego is due (other than usual rego papers etc), there's a NSW RTA myPhone app that can show all info when you enter a rego plate (might be handy to show Vic POs) that also has a reminder service built in.
