    Arctic blue DC5?

    Hey all,

    1st post

Been trying to find a DC5R for a while and came across this one on carsales.

What I'm unsure of is the color. It states it's arctic blue. However from all the other blue DC5's I've seen the blue is a shade darker whereas this one is quite light.

Or is it just the sun?

Also what kind of stuff should I look out for?
Kinda new to the car scene...

    Cheers!

I would say that is arctic blue. best thing to do is find the abp paint code and check the paint code in the engine bay to see if it mates. its a 8 year old car. paint being lighter compared to brand new is normal.

Like Hau said, that is arctic blue. The paint colour changes over the years mate! Good example is with the milano red colour over the years it fades and starts to become pinkish lol

Going to check it out this sunday in person.

Interestingly enough, according to this website there's 2 kinds of blue for the integra.
              http://www.integratyper.org/specs/colors.htm

Guess 11 years does take its toll on the color haha.
*EDIT* Ad states its a 2001. Either this is a typo or sth sus is going on.
Wondering how Meguairs Colour X will change it??

Yes thats correct. the dc5 was made at the end of 2001. There is only one blue for the type r which is the arctic pearl blue. and that is definately abp. the other blue is alot darker and is only on the base model dc5. This is only for the pre facelift. the facelift comes in vivid blue but in aus thats known as the type s.

ahh...that explains why I thought the blue was a darker shade.
                  tks all.

Still curious on how that colour X will "freshen" this up though?

Turns out it's a lot darker compared to the photos.
Heading out to put down a deposit soon!

There's quite a few scratches / paint jobs that need to be done on it.
Can anyone recommended in the Brisbane area?

                    cheers!

Awesome, welcome to the abp club,
My car has a lot of little scratches and car park dings to bud, gotta remember these cars are getting old now and if used as a daily, or even not, it's almost impossible to keep a car squeaky clean for that long,
Make sure you do an intro and start up a build thread once you pick her up
