hi can people share there opinions on the pros and con's of each of these motors.

b18 is more peaky.
k20a has a bit more low end but probably cos if the 6 speed.

i was quoted 15k for a full jdm k20a conversion i s that too much ???
i can buy the whole dc5r for that much or have a dc2r with k20a conversion

yeah that's what i was thinking buy the dc5r and rebuild the dc2 motor stock internals and sell it because i spun a bearing on it that's why i was just thinking of fixing the dc2Comment

K20/24 frankenstein (spell?) conversion would make good power! I know for a fact Dr.Honda has done 2 dc5rs with k20/24, one of them is making 183kw, heres a video of one dr.honda has built for one of his customers:

You got a spun bearing from your car getting towed? Ouch. did someone steal it?
Also, +1 on the frankenstien - makes good power. Would be beast in a DC2R. Strip more weight from it, and you'll have a hell of a car.Comment
