EOI: GruppeM style airboxes for DC5

So while I'm a bit of a newbie to technical discussions, I'm not a complete stranger to fiberglassing and basic fabrication.
And being a student, I have a somewhat restricted budget - and a desire for a new airbox. Not a CAI or an SRI as such, more an airbox.
Resultingly, I'm planning on making an airbox, and would like to know if anyone else would be interested in a budget GruppeM style airbox.
The design brief is as follows:
    -Fiberglass construction
-Drop in replacement to factory airbox (little or no modification needed)
-Maintain a similar laminar flow pattern, if not improve it.
    -Minimise turbulent flow
-Have an induction noise to die for
-Provide two alternatives, one for those that are uncomfortable modifying the scuttle panel on their vehicles
-Scoop cover and drainage holes to prevent hydrolock when raining or washing the car.
-Price bracket of $200-$300, hopefully cheaper than a new CAI/SRI

Let me know if this appeals to anyone, just so I know if there is any interest in this, and whether I should pursue this further.

Also, for those of you that have GruppeM's, I'm still in research and design stages, so I'd really appreciate it if you could potentially take the time to send me detailed photographs, measurements or even complaints that I should resolve with my design.

Not at the moment mate, just preliminary sketches. Hoping to fabricate one or two up by the end of the month.

        I'd be Interested
, I don't see the value in a thousand dollar cai. I'd have to see what u come up with before I commit to purchasing, but I'm interested

Should just get a GruppM box and make a mould out of it and than replicate

But the thing is, I don't want to have an exact gruppeM, I want my own ideas and innovation in there.
And, don't worry, no one needs to commit to buy. If everything goes right and uni doesn't waste all my time, I'll have a prototype or two up by the end of the month and then I'll make them on a request basis.

All this interest is rather motivating. Just sharpened the old plane for some early morning work

Just a quick update. I've finished the designs but haven't had time to get onto making the mould yet due to university constraints. Will get back on to it after things ease up. Sorry guys!

                            I am interested.
What air filter are you thinking of using? A pod type?

Yep. And a breather or a tube to the rocker inlet.
