DIY : Removing Front wipers & Louvre

So I wanted to paint my wiper arms and plastic louvre and clean up a little so thought I would make a DIY on how to remove these things as they can seem tricky, but really its quite simple.

So here we have a faded plastic louvre (pretty sure thats what its called) and some wipers

First off, mark where your wipers used to sit incase the wipers are moved or the wiper gears are moved. I used masking tape to mark mine

Remove the 14mm nut from each wiper arm, bend the wiper arm up like so and simply jiggle and lift off the arm

Remove the rubber boots from each side, remember how they go because they can be fiddly to put back in.

unclip the wiring loom from the plastic cover. It simply slides out

Remove the 3 plastic clips which look like this

Circled are where they are located

Now that is done, simply pop off the cover, there are a number of clips holding it down at the back so a bit of force is needed. Once removed you will see this

It will split into 2 pieces so don't think you've snapped it lol!

The rubber seal comes, flip it over and you will find all these little clips which will pop out

ohhhh cabin filter there you are!

    9 years of dirt

    all gone

    Cleaned

    Painted and put back together!

    Thankyou

        nice touch up!

I've done that to the ED civic and it looks so much better.

Now I want to respray the black trim that goes around the doors and rear bumper too.
