    Knocking sound in the steering wheel

    Hi all. Im new in this site and i was wondering if someone could help me. I bought a ep3r not long ago and i dont know why theres a knocking sound when i steer left or right. Thanks.

      Nah bro. The car is stock standard. It started knocking when i hit a gutter trying to reverse.

        have u checked your tie rod ends? maybe the rubber boot is busted.

          I havent checked anything yet. I was wondering if its a major problem and if it is which mechanic would you guys recomend.

                I can't answer for them or for Hanny's. It could be anything! Definitely book an appointment with either so they can investigate?

                  you crashed into a gutter - obviously the problem is a damaged suspension component or a damaged body part.

                  did you have a look?

                  most people can spot broken stuff...

                    common problem is the steering rack.
                    could be that also.

                      Where is d steering rack located? Can i have a look at it even if i dont take out any part?

                        Have a look at the coilover first I have this problem, and its the coilover. Have a good look for oil and touch it. If its oily then there's a leak somehwere.

                          Everything is stock in the car i havent change the coilover. Is it still that one?

                              dad took his car there when he had a similar problem. he checked it out for him and told him it wasnt anything major. dad offered to pay him for his time, he said dont worry about it. even gave my dad a cup of coffee while he was there lol.
