    aero mirrors

i am looking at getting aero mirrors for my dc2r. how difficult is it to remove the standard mirrors and install different ones? the mirrors i'm looking at should bolt in at the same point as the stock ones..
does anyone have experience with this? what does it involve?
ps these are the mirrors i'm looking at getting from japan. what do u guys reckon? on a CW dc2r..

Dead easy, no more than a 1/2 hour job.

It's been a while now but if I remember correctly, you need to remove the plastic cover (inside the car).

Then you'll see 3 bolts. Remove these & unclip the cables for electronic mirror adjustments and bolt in the new mirrors.

I think it'll only look good on a CW one if you had other CF parts on your car as well.

may i suggest that i agree with jingers

CF bonnet on a CW dc2r with CF mirrors would be absolute pron..

you know what else would then finish it off really well? CF wing.. do they exist?
(i know it would be just for show but it would look awesome)

I think these are the same on ebay:

IMO, they look abit weird..like as in the carbon fibre looks tacky...not like real carbon fibre.
Perhaps getting them in gloss black?

Hi, does anyone know what the visibilty is like with these mirrors in regard to blind spots?

Visibility is shit house. But it looks good, so if you crash at least you crash in style.

I have a set on mine, probably swap em off in the future.

Ahh, bummer! Thanks for the reply.

The only reason I'm looking at whole new mirrors is because of this visibility issue. OEM are fine..

... just can't bring myself to buy those little stick on ones \:
