Personally, I only ever see the amg series; either the 55 or 65 in the SL's. I reckon if anyone has money to buy an SL, they should only get the AMG version!

I've seen a young wog guy driving a SL55 AMG around Burwood and I've also seen a E63 AMG on the M5 gunning it next to me in the tunnel, looks and sounds awesome!

Taxes, logistics, lack of volume. You can never do a direct currency conversion when it comes to cars.

Used cars in NZ are dirt cheap, but some new cars cost a fortune. Check out European car prices in showrooms in NZ. Close to $20k difference between R36 Passat here and NZ.
