I don't think it matters whether it's a base or not.

A rear seat weighs around 5kgs. A pointless exersize on it's own. Much better when you're looking to save weight in a big way with everything else. On a base you've got tar soundproofing, carpet, door trims, spare wheel and tools, roof lining and rear trims, seats and the list goes on.

Nice pics though Tim. Maybe take more of a 1/4 angle shot. The DC5 isn't the prettiest car from the front. Take shots from lower angles too. It'll make the car look longer.

Car looks good guy! I also fail to see why it matters that it is a base model, it might come as a surprise to most but the DC5R is not the pinnacle of automotive brilliance. There will always be another guy with more money and a faster car.

Thanks Sam.. Yeah i do look at the R and S lips kits and feel like its missing on my car cos some of the angle are.... not that appealing..
Plus i was playing round with my camera and didn't think bout getting other angles.
Also i understand bout the weight reduction stuff. Like Treezy's EP3 we stripped the rear of it bear and everything become lighter, louder and naked... Plus i wasn't doing it for weight reduction but more for the point i was trying to fix the rear seat clips..
Also i been thinking bout your advice on the K24... im considering the option but im in no rush just yet.

I would say the cornering ability of the Robin and DC5 are about on par...only just.
