    J's Racing/JDM Concept @ Superlap 2010

    Well, here we are...

2 days before the World Time Attack Challenge. Some of you won't be able to make it. Sure, it's a shame but we'll be able to help you out a little along the way.

The WTAC is a big deal for J's Racing. Executive Director, Murakami San will be joining us this coming weekend to help develop the car for the next 12 months of time attack. JDM Concept director Leonardy Joseob will also be there.

Over the next 3 days we'll be using Twitter and YouTube to assist in bringing you some exciting footage and news from the WTAC. We've installed a HD camera in the Type R, brought 2 HD cameras with us and at Eastern Creek we'll bring you the first video and images fresh straight from the track.

To be kept up to date add the following links to your Twitter and YouTube.

    Twitter - http://twitter.com/JsRacingTeamAus

    YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/user/JsRacingTeamAU

We hope to bring you some great footage along the way. We'll be posting images in this thread from all the sights of the WTAC.

For those of you who will be there, please drop by and say hi. It would be great to see some of the Club ITR crew reprezentin'.

Well done Sam. Ballsy effort for entering Superlap with no testing at all. You have set a platform for future events and Scott and I will be more than happy to develop the car for the future. Talk soon

Thanks mate. What people forgot about yesterday was the fact that we were running the least powerful car in open class. Just 132kW! Add to that fuel starvation from the OEM fuel system and we were incredibly underpowered for a track like Eastern Creek. Plenty to do for 2011 but for now I'm just happy to do some social days and have some FUN!

On the day there were fires, crashes, engine failures and mechanical failures, even with the Pro Class cars. But our car stayed strong all weekend without a single fault (other than performance shortcomings). Next year we'll have plenty of testing, a new engine, new suspension, less weight and more. With a 12 month gap between now and the next event we certainly want to up with the other Honda cars.

Full credit to you Phil for making sure the car could go the distance. Not a single test lap before Superlap weekend. And a perfect strike rate.

Another thing, there are so many photos of my car online so my sponsors are absolutely exstatic. The ones from Matt Mead and Felix Alim haven't even aired yet. I set out to make sure the car was presented well. Feedback from people visiting the pits, commentary and the number of photos I've already grabbed in a 15 minute session this morning shows me that I did a good job in making sure we have a great base to build on.

Here's some images from the weekend.

                  great effort sam!

i am very well pleased with what you have achieved so far.

i think murakami-san from j's racing is happy the exposure the car has give to j's racing brand. both of us are very aware of the limitation due to circumstances you are in at the moment of what the car can do at this stage.

but i think what is more invaluable is for js racing to be able to see this 2 days visit has given him a closer look at your car and what he can recommend to do in the future.

along the way back to sydney yesterday, we talk about your car power and what is needed to improve the timing.

basically he say that j's racing can build a 280HP crate engine shipped from Japan if it is ever needed.

but i am also happy to finally be able to see some Club ITR member and put a face on them.

I finally met Dave and Phil for the first time and it is a pleasure knowing people who is passionate to keep the spirit of driving and racing in Honda alive in australia

                  Once again great effort sam!

PS: The DC5 must have been one of the most photograph car on that day and for that i am very very happy!

Here's video of the final session on Saturday. I'll post session two tonight, which will show you why I was slower in the final session despite driving much better than the morning run.

It takes a long time to convert these videos. I'm hoping to have them all uploaded by the end of the week. Each one takes 4 hours in total.

That's from the I Heart Honda track day that J's Racing hold 3 times a year. I have been invited to the October track day to drive the yellow S2000 seen in the video. Needless to say, I accepted.

Just found a blog post on Speed Hunters featuring two awesome images of my car (including the title image).
