k20 Atom @ the track

Just thought i'd share some photos i took of an ariel atom at the track today...
comes with a k20 fitting snugly in the back.
not sure where this stig came from though... but he drove it like a maniac!

Nice... and its rolling on Kuhmo KU36's! Now i can say my car has the same engine and wheels as a Atom!



Was this the N/A or Supercharged version? And have they always been released with the rear wing and the perspex on the side?

How much would this thing weigh in at? Looks like it would handle well.

its weigh around the 650kg mark(correct me if im wrong)
but the youtube clip where the guys from top gear review it.... it is just unbelievable awesome!

Just makes you think why do we get the sh*tty end of the stick in aus....

sorry didnt really catch any of the atom on the track... didnt have a telephoto with me unfortunately.

But of course, it was FAST!

Compared to the rest of the cars on the track, all it needed was a tap of the brakes very late into the corner entry... it was just flying.

funny thing though, it didnt sound like a honda... in fact it sounded pretty mild.

actually on the day itself, they started offering $250 rides in any of the cars...

was a good deal, but not many took up on the offer...

the broadford track looks great though... looks like a mini green hell, had alot of elevation and crests. Going to look into bringing the R there for a run...
