I think its magman, i got his card & quote in the car, his just of canterbury road,he showed me some of his work, stuff looks great. as soon as i get my wheels back from Monty the BC's are going their for full treatment. He quoted me $430 to strip them, paint in any colour (including metallics & pearls) repair any damage (chips, scratches) & re-polish the lip!

430's but pricey to be honnest man.

                        mine cost me 150..

had them soda blasted, took em to a friend to have lips machined, ballanced them, machined lips again.. then had them painted and baked

the 150 was for the soda blasting and painting, machining was donethrew a m8 who did me freeby

Well when you do $430/4 it works out to be around $107/rim, that for stripping, paiting & repairing. I actually thought it was pretty average considering alot of body shops wanted to charge in excess $600 just to paint the rims

                              What is soda blasting?
Soda blasting is a process where a surface is cleaned, rust is removed, or coatings (of any kind) are stripped from a substrate (the surface beneath the material you are trying to remove). The soda blasting compressor propels a bicarbonate-of-soda based media via compressed air onto the surface to be cleaned. This process gently removes the material without harming the substrate and can be done wet or dry.

& its actually alot better than sand blasting in that it doesnt stress the metal as much, also alot safer to use compared to sand blasting.
