Update for 2009 Supersprint: BYP Civic

Christmas is just around the corner and the good news is the car will be rocking a new engine combo for next year supersprint.

Here are a quick run down of the specs:

    B18c block
    VtiR crank
    81.5mm CP custom pistons
    Crower I beam rods
    Toda Oil Pump
    ACL Race bearings
PR3 Cyl Head,CNC Combustion Chambers, Hand Blending of ports only
    Supertech Valve Train
50mm TWM quads + Air box
    Vi-PEC V44 ECU

Engine is being built and will be developed by an engineering company that does ultralight aircraft engine design and development. The spec's above are all we where given about the engine and we know nothing else about the setup and the dyno numbers will not be shown till mid year when they have had it back in there workshop once there engine dyno is in and running

There is also alot of input to this engine package & development from Sydney Vi-PEC wholesaler Scott @ Insight Motorsport as he works very closely with the Enginerring company on the ECU side of there plane engine project.

Its an excitment new year for the crew as it will even the playing field with the Toda EG civic marginally in terms of capacity.

Keep an eye out for Dyno numbers and further development of the engine.

          Hardcore... you guys are awesome!

What's the difference between a Toda oil pump and Type R oil pump. I remember the BEL guys like 6 years ago, saying that they were identical? Don't know if there is truth to this, but they did look exactly the same.

            Awesome!

I was just going through some records and noticed that HPR with their Jun/JIC CRX has the FWD record for WFP at high 1.07's. When're BYR going to break this record?

Not hardcore enough. Not much difference besides the material used. We are planning to turn it over to 9500rpm, at those rpm the stock oil pump can't handle it ( tend to break).

Yeah i think that was at the autosalon circuit battle. Was it recorded by natsoft?. The proconcept civic's are faster then that. I think Jacky in his Ek lay some 1.06's times.

ill be happy with 1:08's for next year. I dont think it can go any quicker unless i make it a full out track car. Its still a street registered car, so it still needs the bare essential to pass rego. i.e header box, cat, carpet and etc
