Ahhh ok, well if you park a Type R at a train station at night... especially on a weekend, you are asking for trouble.
Someone tried to steal my wheels at Gordon station in the day time when I first got me CE28's. All my lugs were chewed up. Perhaps the Rays lock nut was enough to fend them off.

rays nuts are easy to get off especially the long ones.
Just bash a socket over it and turn it hard.
Best lock nuts to get are the short ones that sit inside the wheel so that the thieves cant get a vice like grip around the nut to force it to turn.
but then short ones look poo.
So its either function or form for some people.

Shouldn't he try and find some temporary wheels and find a parking garage. If he leaves the car as is and waits for insurance to get back to him then most likely the thieves are gonna come back for the recaro's.
