EL_DC5: how does that item work? tDo you have to break off the plastic left on the shift boot?
nah i got it off, it was hard but i dont think i broke it. i think there is like a trick to remove it.
really cant remember the technic. PM me if you want a look or pm me your mobile if you recieve mms. but my car is dirty so i wount take a pic until it clean
hey daz, is there something on the inside that held the shift boot up and onto the gear stick like right under the shift knob? like the shift nut or something?
i have a mugen knob and the collar of my shift boot isn't up against the knob. it's saggy
There are multiple way to fix the the sag of the shift boot. Do a quick search on club rsx "DIY shift boot" and it will come up with multiple DIY meathods the yanks have made up fixing their shift boot collars.
Nothing beats the look of the standard Type R shift boot, but some are pretty nice. EL_DC5's item is probably the easiest and nicest.

Which shift boot are you talking about matey?
The Type-R shift boot will hold up on its own. The black collar bit is narrow and won't move unless you force it.
The Type-S shift boot would sag so I used a small rubber band and wrapped it around the gear stick a few times and then pulled the collar up past it to hold it up .
Hope that helps
