Fark me dead you want to put a death trap in your type R.
Man any roll cage using bolts to hold it together is not something i would want in my car. That thing is a hazard.
Then again if ur all about the bling then maybe you wont mind getting ur head busted open if god forbid you should ever have anything happen to your car to justify using it./Oo ___H___ oO\

^^^what should he use then???? cable ties????
if you think about it, role cages are meant for the track, when on the track ur wearing a helmet.............so he shouldnt have any issues.......if its used on the street and something happens.......then i guess he was being a little silly on the street..........true????
thats my opinion............but anyways......i love the look of a cage in a street car........good work

No seats and rear panels need to go. Unless you want to cut them.

Ahhh calm down mate. The main hoop is one piece, and the other 3 parts bolt in well. Installed properly by Ben @ Touge Tune it's fine. I have seen people use these for years and years. Never failed them even when their cars have rolled. That cage mustn't have been installed correctly.
Also why are there no screws or holes in the chassis, where the cage connects to the chassis. Was that a test fit picture?

Originally posted by VTECMACHINE View PostActually you can't even see it. I have padded the entire thing with Foam (grey/black colour), so it blends in with the interior very well. Looks very stealthy, and if it does hit me in the head... the padding will be fine.

mmm....stealth.....but if someone knows what they are looking at they can tell yeh???? lol........i didnt mean to show it off, i meant i love the look of a cage in a street car.........
Also, yeah you can fold seat down, and cut the panels. No point IMO. Just rip all the panels out.

If I was to use a roll cage, I'd get one with 2 bolts per joined section or a welded one.
I highly doubt one single bolt will be strong enough to hold it from pivoting or bending.
Definately a bling item.
"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horse power is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."
