    Hi ,

I'll be going to Japan in November and would like to know if there are any good auto stores in Tokyo, Osaka, or Kyoto so that i can buy some present for my 04 Type S.

      Hes not a time traveller.

$800 should be able to get you a gruppeM intake.

Try the large chain stores like yellow hat or Superautobacs (Nb not autobacs - much smaller)

Ofcourse individual tuning shops would have stuff too - eg Mugen, Spoon etc.

gruppeM intake sounds good, i but heard that i need to modify my bumper to install it, right?

LovelSil, it would be great if you can give a detail description howto get the Autobacs in Tokyo, coz i don't speak any japanese at all.

                    you can go to
http://www.sa-tokyobay.com/ Which is one of the biggest in Tokyo
Its located in Shinonome (東雲).....wat you can do is take Yamanote sen (山手線)....which is green in colour and really popolar for tourist....then when you get to Osaki Eki (大崎駅), change to Rinkai sen (臨海線) which is the Blue one on the bottom

then take off on Shinonome Eki (東雲駅) And Superautobacs Shinonome (東雲) will be just right in front of you....hope that helps...

i went from Odaba to Shinonome Super Autobacs (after visiting the Toyota Megaweb). although they're very close, because there was a river in between, i had to change 3 JR lanes to get there. if you go from Shinjuku, it's very easy. just 1 change of JR lane i think.

i suggest you go early in your trip incase your parts need ordering.

well next time, forget megaweb and go straight to Super Autobacs.

it wasn't fun having to change from monorail to underground to JR line. all 6 stations in total but 3 stupid lanes. also being so far from central Tokyo, the locals don't speak much Engrish.

i was trying to buy a saseme soft serve at a Family Mart but the guy kept giving me vanilla....
