    Integra Type R from Portugal

Hi, my name is Luciano, i´m from Portugal (Algarve) and i´m a proud owner of an ITR. I lived in Sydney for 10 years wonder if find some old friends through here Lol
I love Hondas and performance tuning, especially JDM tuning. My aim is to build a bad ass JDM ITR ! hehe
Hope to learn allot from this forum and hope to help in what i can.

In portugal it is just luxury to own one of these beauties! Portugal is one of the worst places to have a car like this, the roads are all F##ked up, tuning is ILLEGAL i can´t even have bigger rims! Salary is a joke! fuel prices are another joke! and the list just goes on and on... Lol anyway here is my car:

    Integra type R year - 2000, 88,000 km:

    Exterior:
    -Eibach springs
    -Modified rear bumper
    -VISracing carbon hood

    Under the hood:
    -Spoon sports air filter
    -Spoon engine Torque Damper
    -68mm STR throttle body
-AEBS intake manifold with hondata gasket
    -FUGITSUBO super x headers
    -home made decat
    -B-pipe Supersprint
    -carbon fiber muffler

    Interior:
    -pioneer DEH-p6700MP
-Some simple lightweight speakers (don`t really care for music in this car)
    -amplified antenna

Honda optional rear fenders, soon will be getting the optional side skirts as well

    BEFORE:----------------------------AFTER:

I took out the OEM antena because it broke so i thought why not take it out and do a little mod...

    Like to hear your opinions

    Cheers

Welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay.

    BTW JDM is over rated.

Horse power is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you."

              New mods:

              speedline rims OUT

OEM Enkei 15" IN, i was going to paint them black but wanted to see how this colour matched up with the car. Turned out better than i thought, so planning on leaving them like this

MUTEKI WHEEL NUTS to hold them in

              Spoon sports air filter

And off with some more weight, VISracing carbonfiber hood, it´s still sealed, will take some more pics when i have it on.

Filtro OEM OUT, Filtro Spoon Sports IN

Just some quick pics... will take more when i get a chance and on a sunny day

opinions and sujestions are always welcome

              Cheers

                Clean looking!

Did you take out the resonator when you dropped in the new filter?

Hhmmm... don´t really know what you mean... i just took out the oem one and placed in the spoon filter.. the rest is the same. I think thats the right thing to do, or am i doing something wrong?

^No no, sorry for the misunderstanding.

For better response, take out a box behind the intake manifold called the resonator. This will improve airflow and really add to your Spoon filter.

Big job taking out the resonator. Need to remove the front bar - but the increase in sound and flow is big.

Only downside is sucking in hot air.

Conclusion - Mugen the best way to go. lol

OOhh, oki, i think i know what you mean.. the box where the air filter goes into.. well i´m not going to take it out for 2 reasons.
1- if the cops catch me with this air filter i´m screwed lol, that´s why i got the resonator in first place.

2-If i take out the resonator hot air from the motor would be sucked in. i had a HKS mushroom air filter and that would suck in hot air.

What i did do was put a tube to bring up air from the front of the car wich then connected to the resonator. so i don´t think i have a problem with lack of air Lol
