Just thought i would introduce myself.
Although i'm only half allowed on the forum, i appreciate the knowledge and wisdom here...and if i'm going to ask for advice, then i better introduce myself.
My name is Michael, I am 45SET's brother.
I own an eg5. it's mod list is as follows:
Engine:
b18cR
Mugen headers
custom exhaust
custom intake
(dyno'd at 114kw)
Suspension:
Tanabe Sustec Pro II Coilovers (non dampner adjust
)
Whiteline 22mm Rear sway bar
Whiteline 24mm Front sway bar (to be fitted)
Whiteline Rear camber kit (to be fitted)
White Front Caster kit (to be fitted)
Fr & Rr strut braces
Wheels:
dc5r oem rims
Kuhmo (insert model here) tyres (unfortuneately, a budget forced option)
Mazda 3 15inch steelies (waiting for some semi slicks)
Interior:
sr3 recaros (to be fitted - currently has red leather monzas)
dc2r non srs steering wheel
thats it, from front seats back, stripped.
Exterior:
Spoon CF Rear wing
Spoon CF Side mirrors
Blacked out headlight and corner indicators
Unpainted bumpers
I bought the car at the end of last year. It was jam packed with mods.
Full bomex kit
17inch replica G-Games
Full red leather interior
Very nice custom stereo
Unfortuneately, all the fancy stuff wasn't of interest to me. I have slowly parted out these items, in order to create the car that i want...and can enjoy, without the unwanted attention.
I have taken it to willowbank...with a very very very dismal performance of 15.1
I have been many times before, but i guess i could argue i was still getting use to the car...either way...its a shitty time, and one day i will improve it.
I have every intention of getting out to QR sometime. However, money permitting, i would like to get some semi slicks for my track rims. I can't afford it at the moment, as i just bought a house.
I have been having an ongoing problem with a rattle. I have dismissed it as the cat, however, there is always the chance it is worse then that. It has happened ever since i have bought it...however, starting to get worse.
I'll chuck up some pics now...I don't have too many in its current form...
Let me know what you all think...And I hope that my 1/2 ITR and I can stay
As it was bought

With the kit taken off...
(Yes, the crap on the sideskirts is the sikaflex and crap used to hold on the old sideskirts)

Have since taken the top off the airbox...Feel that it is a metal hot box, and not doing too much good. Im going to get some chicken wire, take a mould of it, and get my mate to fibreglass me a box. Thats a project to come.

How the stereo use to look in the back, once again, credit to the builder of this car originally, was truely awesome.
