    Video: DC2R @ Wakefield

Went to a private track day @ Wakefield yesterday, was my first time out with semis. Brought the video camera and window mount, so I was able to get quite a bit of footage. I've uploaded a vid of the best lap I did, please comment/criticize where I did things right and where I can improve. It's not a perfect lap, but really happy with how many seconds I cut from my previous PB.

            nice run

how is your suspension setup? i noticed you hardly have to counter-steer and your entry speed is pretty good. Bless the semis

Leslie: yep got a baffled sump from OZ227, similar to Mugen
Felix: yep soon, just have to cut the footage down.
G Vtec: Using Toda Fightex DA with fronts set on 8 (out of 15) and 9 on the rear. Also have the Whiteline Rear Heavy Duty on the hardest setting (I think on the hardest setting its pretty close to the Mugen 26mm). The tyres really made a difference, first lap out with them I scared the crap out of myself with the cornering speed.

                      very very nice mate

i need more practise, better suspension too... i was in 2nd at a lot of the corner where you were in the 3rd, abviously the slicks make a big difference too!!

                      great driving mate

freakie, that corner is aka the fish hook at wakefield, not sure if you would call it a double apex, it's the darker part of the track in this picture:

On the second corner of that part I'm nowhere near the inside ripple strip. Last time someone showed me the line all he told me was to line up 3 distinct points on the race track - driveway, ripple strip, then driveway again, you can just see those driveways in the pic.

maybe a double apex, it maybe a single apex...?

it is better described as a "complex" that actually involves turn 7, 8 and 9...
