Avoiding the dreaded 4WD look - DC5 Integras (without modified suspension!)

I've spent a significant amount of time researching ways into improving the look and avoiding the dreaded 4WD appearance of the DC5 Integras due to their arguably tall suspension.

My initial approach was to consider the very famous Eibach Pro Kit as a solution to lowering just that right amount for an everyday DC5.

However I have since discovered with the right set of rims (size and tyre profile width), you can achieve an aesthetically pleasing look without the use of adjusted suspension.

I invite anyone else who has changed the rims on their DC5 without adjusting the suspension so we can do some side-by-side comparisons of what they look like:

I put on some Gram Lights wheels on my DC5 without changing suspension. It's my daily - I don't really care how the car looks too much... but it is still a 4WD.

    17x7.5 wheels I think, tyre profile 45

The car needs to be dropped but its not my priority at the moment.

The photos of the car you posted up still looks like a 4WD. I'm not sure what you're on about Nikolas.

Yeah, I have to agree with you BUTTER. It does still look like a 4WD.

Could anyone offer some insight as to the ride comfort of Eibach Springs on a DC Luxury in particular?

I love the ride height the Eibachs offer, but I still want the car to maintain everyday riding comfort...

                Any other suggestions?

                Nickolas

I would love to see some pics of your ride KIN if possible... in particular a profile shot showing off your rims...!

Perhaps you have them posted somewhere else on this forum?

From what I can see in your profile pic, your ride looks to be exactly what I'm looking for!

Mine's pretty 4wd too and its on coils. The fear of scraping is strong in me.

Dont lower the car by putting small tires on the car. You speedo will be out. When every you change rims and / or tires you always keep the over all height of the tire as close as possible to stock.

I wouldn't do a cheap set of coil overs they will just leak.
If you just after lowering the car, Get lowering springs. Most company's give a estimate of height lowered over stock. So measure what you want and do your research!
