Honda Short Film/Video. Need your help!

    Hello all,

As some of you know i do a bit of film work as a hobby, i have a Youtube page youtube.com/chegiuliano and i have been meaning to make more car videos but i just haven't had the chance/time and motivation lately, as well as not knowing much people who own JDM or Luxury cars.

This weekend while i was at Canberra with my family, i thought of an idea about a short film about Honda's most loved sport cars! From the whole Type R Range to the wonderful NSX.

What i would like to know from you guys is if anyone would be keen to help make this project. Now unfortunately i can't pay you as i am not from universal studios but if you do choose to help i will promise i will treat you with great respect and appreciate anything you wish to help with and at the same time im sure most of you will have FUN making this short film.

Mostly i would need the cars. Now if i miss some cars please let me know but to me these are the most favourite vehicles.

    1. Honda Civic Type R KE9
    2. Honda Civic Type R EP3
    3. Honda Integra Type R DC2
    4. Honda Integra Type R DC5
    5. Honda S2000
    6. Honda NSX

If i have missed some cars that you think would be relevant in this video please feel free to add. Below is a Rough* script/shoot planning i started writing. Theres not much so far but i would like to hear some of your thoughts also inputs and suggestions are very welcome

Let me know what you think. Aaron

    Honda Video Shoot

    Scene one.

Wakes up in the morning at around 6am and begins morning weekend routine, Brushing teeth, Breakfast, Packing clothes (track gear) etc.
    Enters Garage and use camera short cuts showing cleaning products and tools. Actor prepares all he needs for the day and then starts getting his car ready by using product and tools on the car with slow short camera glimpses. For example;
Slow camera glide cam angle of the Actor carefully cleaning/polishing his car down.

    Changing wheels/tyres.
Slow camera angles of the Actor tweaking/topping engine carefully and preciously. (trying to portray the love for his car.
After his car is ready, garage opens and different angles show the car releasing from the garage. With a sun glare shot showing a dramatic full shot appearance of the clean now rolling out of the garage. After the Ek9 has emerged completely for the garage onto the driveway before the driver heads off he makes a phone call.

    Scene two.

The phone dials and cuts to a friend who answers the phone while driving. Example conversation, “Hey, I’m ready to go” Driver 2 “Ill be there in a minute”.
These will be close up shots of both drivers faces. Not revealing Driver 2’s car yet, use camera angles and sounds to show car speed up a little /driving. Cut to Driver 1 house and see The 2nd Drivers car which is a Civic Type R Ep3 pull in in front of the driveway. After showing style shots of the clean Civic Type R Ep3, Driver 2 steps out of the car and shakes Driver 1’s hand and says “You ready to go?” Driver 2 “You know it just make sure your cute Ek is ready to gaze into my rear lights haha” Driver 1 “Haha you talk too much smack in the morning” Both chuckle. Driver 2 “So we’re are (Driver 3 & 4)?” Driver 1 “They’re meeting us there should on the road as we speak”.
Camera views away (on crane*) towards th

    Scene three.

Shot continues from the Camera shot of the sky comes down and shows 2 cars driving next to each other and all you hear is the sounds of the engine’s racing, these cars will be an Integra Type R Dc2 and an Integra Type r Dc5.

As i said very rough, but i wanted to get your opinion on this so far.
    Thanks

Hahaa like I said to cartoon, I want to include a bunch of cars at the end of the short film. And I would be very upset if I didn't include your beautiful ride in this film!

I only said type Rs to group them easier doesn't necessarily have to be one

Fwarrrrrr such a good concept you got going there man. As I'm in SA I won't be able to participate but could I make a suggestion about the following part in the third scene: The DC2 and DC5 are essentially side by side. The camera starts shooting toward the front of the cars as if they were driving straight into it (Not too quick but in a gear where the rpm is a bit higher). This shot lasts 3 - 5 seconds maximum (enough so the audience can identify the cars but not make out excessive detail). You then cut to a shot going through the passenger side window of the left most car (Gives views on the faces of the drivers). While this is going on the sound of the engines blaring is all that can be made out and the scenery is rushing past like a blur).

Camera cuts over to the driver on the right's windshield. He smirks at the other as they make eye contact and says "heh, gotcha". Shot jumps to the pedals of both (split screen) as they both pressure the brakes (Not tyre screeching though, but heavier sorts). Pan the camera to just outside their cars (can see the weight transition to the front on both cars). Camera pans over as they stop at the traffic light line with the DC2 coming to a complete stop before the DC5.

Just a suggestion but I can really see that playing out in my head
Lisa is a nut. She has a rubber butt. Everytime she turns around it goes putt putt.

EXACTLY your right on the money! I had that same approach in my head!! Thanks for suggesting definitely helped out with that scene! Looks like we have a Film Director/Writer here at ClubITR ! I can see that scene playing in my head also! Espcially with the Dc2 Dc5 as everyone always compare them like brothers Thanks man!!

You're going to need to do some crazy storyboards!
