Car Detailing - By Mark from Dr Detail

Hey guys, I recently got my car professionally detailed with paint protection and I thought I'll write a review for everyone.

I got my car detailed by Mark from Dr Detail. I wanted to get rid of those ugly scratches and swirl marks that I had on my car.

Here is the process that was involved:

Step 1 - he gave the rims a good spray of some acid (not sure what it is but all the dirt and grime came off really quick) then he gave it a rinse and along with the whole car.
Step 2 - he then gave the car a quick wash.
Step 3 - the car was then rinsed again and clayed to get rid of any dirt that remained.
Step 4 - he then dried the car and began inspecting the car for areas that need extra attention (eg, scratches and swirls) and figure which polishing compound he would choose from.
Step 5 - He now begins to polish the car. He would polish the area again and again until the swirls are gone, and scratches are either gone or as non-noticeable as possible. (most time consuming part)
Step 6 - The car has now finally been polished which took about 5 hours in total. He will now rinse and rewash the car again to get rid of all the compounds.
Step 7 - He then dries the car and begin applying the paint protection (C.Qaurtz) which he told me would last "approximately" two years depending on certain conditions.
Step 8 - After application he let it set for about 15-20minutes before buffing it out.
Step 9 - He gave my tires a quick shine and wiped my windows clean. (It took about 7 hours by the time everything was done)

The car at this stage was very amazing and I was very satisfied by his work (It is shinier than a brand new car!). Mark's attention for detail is amazing and he is very friendly.
Also when I called him for a quote, he told me it is $350 for paint correction (paint detailing) and $150 extra for paint protection (which I found very reasonable). When the job was finished, he told me he finished it in less than the time he expected and charged me $450 instead of $500 which I was very happy because he is such a honest person. Note: I have been quoted $470dollars for a stage 2 polish at "reflect effect" and extra $390 for paint protection.

I wish I had taken more pictures but here are a few before and after photos.
