Good weather, great people and an awesome day!

ClubITR hasn’t had a cruise in a while, so thanks to all the organisers and helpers / leaders / followers & attendees for making it a fairly incident free day.

For some, the day started with a quick pre-meet at Doncaster Pancake Parlour and once everyone had “decided” they had enough petrol, we took off. Those with GPS units generally in front as it was quite a fair drive to the meeting point.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a delicious BBQ and some couldn’t wait to get stuck in.

    CITRs new mascot?

People started arriving, more much than anticipated although we still had enough food to go around.

Jasons new CW DC5R. A sexy ride, familiar to those who have been in the community for a while.

Brandon who usually comes with his dad Mario took the reins for the day. Will there be a track debut in the DC5S soon?

When everyone had arrived, the raffle was drawn! Thanks to Mugsee, Nick and Will for their donations.

I wasn’t the only mod running only, there was a legend among us.

Nam always builds sick cars and his EG is no exception, always drawing a crowd.

Even for those maybe hoping for some secret ideas in the future.

Mugsee and his 9.5” RGs, need I say more?

M@lew (my) DC5R, lip still intact.

Chris and his newly fitted J’s racing fenders

Napo from DC5R to EP3R? Upgrade or downgrade?

This car was built by Prash in NSW and now belongs to Justin in Vic.

Rudi also decided this cruise would be a good time to come out of hiding.

Once the afternoon came, some departed whilst others continued onto the main part of the cruise.

Frequent checkpoints helped everyone stick together, ensuring no-one got lost. (Mainly)

Our first toilet stop. (Not the river, the toilets are behind me!)

I’d be smiling too if I had a car like Rudis...and he was the only one who managed to convince his +1 to come along!

Our next checkpoint was more impromptu due to 3 reasons.

        1) Some of us were very low on petrol

        2) We had a while to go to our destination (although we were driving for 4 hours)

        3) None of us had reception.

So we decided to take a break and come up with a plan of attack.

Unfortunately some of us had picked up a few battlescars on the way, mine was a snapped front lip hanging by a thread.

After waiting about 30 min, we thought another random car was coming. We were wrong it was Pablo, our international visitor who we had thought turned around and went home! Turns out he kept driving, awesome guy.

Josh from Sleeping Performance also caught up with us after returning to town after the BBQ to fill up.

Everyone gave their cars a bit of a rest.

Once we were all rested it, we had decided would turn around and head home. Napo practiced would he will do should he get pulled over on the way home.

And with that, we split into a few groups and worked our way back to the city with everyone making it home in one piece!
