I remember he rubbed trailing arm (I think) with 17x9 +30 ce28n and had to run spacers. Not sure what tyres he was running then.
Guess these should be fine.

I'm thinking of running 17x9 +28 in future and I don't want to find out that it scrubs once I've put them on :P

Rears are fine no scrub but thats with rolle dguard of coarse and no inner clearance issues boys

what if it was 17x8 with a similar offset?

17x8 +28 or +30 is fine.

A lot of guys in uk run the evo 8 enkei wheels which are 17x8 +38 with no issues.

For the earlier mentioned sizes, guard rolling and some negative camber is recommended

Choice of tyre is also important =]
